Web creation record
This project focused on end-of-life planning. Typically, this includes topics like inheritance, will creation, funeral arrangements, and dealing with personal belongings. Users often hesitate to consider these matters due to their association with mortality, which can be off-putting. However, there's also a gentler aspect involving care and consideration for family members.
We developed a comprehensive proposal to make this topic more accessible to users. We began by suggesting a site name. Given that the client operates as the "Cruise Group," we proposed "Sapokuru," combining "Support Cruise" with the concept of "support coming to you" (a play on words in Japanese).
The homepage scenario unfolds from the bright tagline "Let's start preparing for the future with end-of-life planning," followed by content about the purpose and timing of such planning. This approach helps broaden the topic's appeal and makes it more approachable.
For the design, we chose illustrations over photographs to avoid the stark reality associated with mortality. The use of illustrations creates a softer, more abstract feel.
Additionally, we've incorporated a content management system (CMS), allowing the client to add and edit pages as needed.
